In my time at William & Mary, I wrote over 40 news articles about the university and the community of Williamsburg, VA. Here are a few favorites:

Is Witchcraft Too Mainstream?
for The Pulitzer Center

I wrote this piece in conjunction with The Pulitzer Center as part of a program at William & Mary. I received funding to travel to New York City and research Neopaganism.

Welcome to the College’s jungle
for The Flat Hat

This profile of William & Mary’s Greenhouse and Nursery Supervisor was one of my favorite things I wrote at the paper, mostly because I had so much fun visiting the greenhouse.

Students unite in support of NTE language professors
for The Flat Hat

I wrote this news item about 12 non-tenure eligible faculty members who were let go from William & Mary, and the impact that this decision had on the community.

Colonial Williamsburg Foundation discovers site of historic school for Black children
for The Flat Hat

This piece focused on the Bray School, an 18th-century institution that once educated free and enslaved Black children in the area. Some of my reporting on this got picked up by Smithsonian Magazine, which was cool.
